BBQ at Repluse Bay!

Went for a BBQ had Repulse Bay today!
Wayne linked us up with some of the other Singaporean exchange students in HK.

United College (Post)New Year Dinner

Initially, I was not keen to take part...cos my roommate would not be around (as he went Guangzhou on that night) but decided otherwise..ha And i can say that I am glad that i went!!! It was quite fun after all!!!! Know quite a number of new friends!

There were only like 5 of us in a table meant for 10. I guess most of the locals shun us as we do not know them. So we were left with lotsa food!!! so much so that we did not even touched the second plate of food, while some tables had too little to eat haha....too bad..luckily some of them came over to 'help' us clear them :)

The German could speak 5 diff. languages. Whao!!! German, English, Italian, French and Mandarin!! I was a bit shocked when he started speaking in Mandarin. Anyway a very nice guy! He won a Canon printer (top prize) in the lucky draw haha....I was the one who alerted him (since he could not understand Cantonese though me neither...but at least I think I heard his number being called out...the others were already calling for a redraw haha...)

Nice dance, music and singning by the hall committee! A job well done!

Lantern Lightings

Decided to go and look at some lantern lightings! Enjoy the pictures!

When I got back....I realised my buddy got this blanket haha and I tease him abt it :)

My roommate acting serious....he is always watching tv, going out for meals, as I am blogging now...he is in Guangzhou for holiday ( he left on thursday)....He seems so free...So I commented.....I think u look more like an exchange student than me....hahaha

Heritage Trail Part I org by OAL CUHK

We signed up for this heritage tour but it turns out to be quite boring...
Haha anyway we had our fun too! Sightseeing in a nice weather is not so bad after all!

This is called a 盆菜. It has pork, melon,mushroom,chicken,beancurd skin, pig skin, prawns, etc all in a POT!!!Look at the guy on the left and you will know :)

After the heritage trail, we did not go back to school with the bus. Instead we went to 元朗....famous for its Wife Cakes :) We ate one each and its really good..Awesome ...better than the one I brought back....
This i dunno call what tastes awesome too!!! It is something like peanut and honey. Very very nice!! Bought a box and treat my roommate to some of it!!

So the trip ended with most of us exhausted from the day's walking and taking photos...haha shag but satisfied!
